The three steps to my design process.
During the briefing stage, I determine the goals, target audience, specifications, requirements, and preferences with the client. This stage also helps clarify any of the client’s vision, goals, and expectations. Once aligning expectations, research will begin and lead to creative direction and ideation.
Creative exploration based on the research in the briefing stage is taken place. During ideation, the focus is on quantity over quality to encourage a diverse range of ideas and solutions. Ideation sets the foundation for the design by providing a rich pool of potential concepts to be refined and developed.
Many iterations are bound to be created. Details are refined, color palettes and typography are selected. This is where the conceptual ideas and insights gathered from the previous stages come to life.
This isn’t necessarily a “final stage”, but collaboration should be implemented in each stage. With constant communication and collaboration, there’s room to clear any misunderstandings and questions. It also provides room for refinement and development once receiving feedback.
